Your .MY domain name length cannot exceed 63 characters, including “.MY”.
.MY domain name accepts ASCII alphanumeric characters and hyphens. Meanwhile, .MY Internationalized Domain Name (IDN) also accepts Jawi, Chinese and Tamil characters.
You should register your .MY domain name with a .MY accredited Registrars. Refer to the list of .MY accredited registrars here. While choosing a Registrar, compare and consider Registrars that are able to give the packages that you need at the price you’re comfortable with and able to provide customer support.
.MY domain names are leased and require annual renewal, with a maximum renewal term of 10 years in a single transaction. The price varies between Registrars, depending on packages offered.
.MY domain names will be automatically suspended and can no longer be used after its expiration date. Expired domains will enter Renewal Grace Period for 45 days where you can renew it at the normal domain price. If no payment is received, your domain will enter Redemption Grace Period for another 30 days where you can renew it with an added fee. After that, you can no longer renew your domain name as it heads into Pending Delete phase for 5 days before it is deleted and released back to the public market.
.MY domain names are registered on a first-come, first-served basis. You can try contacting the domain owner or just wait until it is no longer renewed. If you think you are the rightful owner of the domain, you can file a dispute through MYDRP. Read more about it here.
